We were walking at the beach one afternoon a few weeks ago, and the sun was coming through the cloud cover. I was struck by the way the light was hitting the little pools of water and how this also emphasized the texture on the sand. When I'm at the beach, I often shoot wide at 24mm, to show the expanse of the location -- the sand, the water and the sky -- and I took a handful of pictures, waiting for there to be two very small subjects in the frame, again reflecting the scale.
