I was asked to photograph this sweet narcotics K-9 and her human just a few days before she died. She was only 2, but had a rare, fatal kidney disease. It is always so impressive to not only watch a working dog do their thing, but also the relationship between dog and handler. It's a tight, 24 hour bond. So heartbreaking that her life was so short.
