I have been working on a personal project of documenting small businesses in our town during late 2020 and early 2021. I took some portraits of the owners, and then I was struck by the light coming through the big windows onto the empty table with place setting. This image feels symbolic to me -- a vacant restaurant due to restrictions. I used mostly my 35mm lens because I was inside and I knew I'd be more flexible with low light.
