My photography revolves around my love for Maternity, children and newborns. I am a custom portrait photographer based in Granite Falls, NC, where I live with my loving, supportive husband and our three awesome kids who are the subject of lots of my photos. I view the world differently than most, since it is usually behind a lens, and I have found my soul and passion behind that lens. I typically shoot with natural light and sometimes studio lighting. When shooting your family portraits, my style of photography is called lifestyle photography. I like to capture children being themselves as well as posed to help you remember just how they were at that point in time. When shooting newborn portraits, I like to capture the beauty and newness of the little one. The small details, tiny toes, little wisp of hair right behind the ear. The things that years from now will be forgotten. I am a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne University where I majored in Nursing. I have worked with neurosurgical ICU patients, Cardiac patient and Operating room patients. I am currently a school nurse with the Burke County School System. My love of photography started many years ago with a Minolta Film camera as a curious teenager that wanted to capture life around her. Since that time, I have grown in both my love of photography and in my knowledge of the skills and the technical aspects behind the lens.
