Adina Davidson, PhD is a fine art and family photographer in Chapel Hill, NC. Her passion for photography began early on and deepened when she became a mother. As a mother of four her work is often rooted in motherhood and is driven by connection and community and strives to convey an evocative perspective into the relationships we have with ourselves, others, and society. In her work she explores the nature of the human condition using light, shadow, unique perspectives, composition, and movement. She uses black and white photography, multiple exposures at times, as a tool to draw the viewer into an image and ask them to sit in the light, shadow, movement, and composition. Her work is both concrete and abstract as it conveys complex relationships, strips down and removes the familiarity of color, and powerfully leads the viewer to consider the marrow of the moment depicted.
